Shelly Mills

Shelly is a results-driven ‘jack-of-all-trades’, always eager to learn new skills and happy to take on any task to get the job done. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in ecology, Shelly realised her true passion was in communications and engagement, and undertook post-graduate study in Public Relations. Shelly has 10 years of experience working across customer service, communications, enterprise IT and project management.

She is also a passionate volunteer and has created several remarkable projects, including developing Brisbane’s first Community Biodiversity Strategy, organising Brisbane’s first speed-planting event (think speed dating, with trees), as well as contributing as a writer to many issues of RSPCA’s The Biscuit magazine.

Shelly adores helping the underprivileged; she has adopted a seven year old dog and two cats, and actively works towards convincing her partner to adopt more rescue animals. She is excited to use her skills to help progress the mission of PTF and make a difference to the lives of children in care.
